Hirman Clay Kellogg built this Neo-classical Victorian home in 1898. He was a sailor and wanted the house to reflect the ships he sailed on so he designed a three-story-high circular staircase that reflects that. The house was moved to its present location in 1980 and is owned by the Santa Ana school district for teaching purposes.
